✪ BF4 Metalpack Steelcase Bonus ✪

The Collector's Metalpack Bonus you get with the Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 4. What is it really?

Well I can tell you what it isn't.
  1. It's got nothing to do with battlepacks
  2. It's not a steelcase
  3. It's not a pack
  4. It's not made of metal
It is simply a box to hold your disc that they call a steel box. But it's not made of steel. It's only a box.

Nothing special here.

✪ Preloading Battlefield 4 - Smart Thing To do? ✪

Some have been wondering now that Battlefield 4 have been released for download from Origin if preloading battlefield 4 is a smart thing to do. And why is that?

Well you see Battlefield 3 was patched after only 1 day of it's release. So it might be a smart move to it to hold off your download if you have a slower connection and don't want to spend a lot of time on downloading patches for battlefield 4. Some have reported that they only get around 100 KiB/s download from Origin even though they have a fast connection.

However it turns out that the preloaded battlefield 4 already have a folder called "Patch". That means you are not downloading the same version that was burned to disc weeks ago. And even though you download 24 GB of information from Origin does not mean you have to download that much for a patch of the game.

But there will be more patches and there already have been made several tweaks after the "final" disk's where burned. But these patches will only be around 50-100mb to download so even if you have a slow connection or problems downloading from Origin with 100 KiB/s it's not going to take you that long to download.

✪ Why You CANT POST or Reply on Battlelog Forum ✪

I know why, do you also have a strange problem with not being able to reply and post on Battlelog forum for no apparent reason? Have you repeatedly signed in and logged out to only find that clicking on the reply button does not do a thing..?

You can't post or reply
Why can't I post on or reply on Battlelog forum?

Well I can now inform you guys that have had issues that Battlelog forum will not work unless you have bought either Warfighter or Battlefield 3. And most likely soon Battlefield 4.

If you go down the page on Battlelog forum you will probably now read the following message.

"To contribute to our forums and news posts, you'll need to buy Medal of Honor: Warfighter or Battlefield 3."

This message was not seen before either, so a lot of people going as far back as late 2012 was wondering why on earth they could not reply or post on the forums.

This is too bad, because a lot of people already have an account on Origin and was hoping to join the discussion on battlelog forum before they buy the new game.

Well not much you can do I guess.. The good new is you are not banned, your account is still active and so on, but the bad news is you now need to fork out with some more money to get on the forum..

✪ Crysis 3 Vs Battlefield 4 Gameplay Graphics ✪

This is a comparison between graphics in gameplay with CryEngine 3 used in the Crysis 3 game and Frostbite 3 used in upcoming Battlefield 4 game. The pictures display real actual gameplay graphics. Not to be confused with HD wallpapers made in photoshop or concept design by concept artists.

First up is the absolutely stunning graphics found in Crysis 3, where we see Prophet (guy in nanosuit) talking to his friend Psycho. This is in the beginning stages of the gameplay where Prophet is about to head out into the Jungle of New York City. And in this scene we really get to see some awesome graphics.

Crysis 3 CryEngine 3 Gameplay vs Frostbite 3 Psycho Prophet Graphics
Crysis 3 CryEngine 3 Gameplay Psycho and Prophet - Enter The Jungle Mission

The following is from Battlefield 4, the first mission in the campaign and the players are now stuck in a car that is sinking into the sea with the entire team stuck inside.

When I first made this post Battlefield 4 had not yet been released and the only gameplay you could do was playing the Open Beta Battlefield 4 on Multiplayer mode. So that seemed like a more stripped down version of the game because a lot of people where led to believe that there was going to be made more improvements to the game before the final release.

But from the looks of it now, both Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4 seems to be pretty even graphics wise.

Battlefield 4 Frostbite 3 vs CryEngine 3 Crysis Gameplay Graphics
Battlefield 4 Frostbite 3 Gameplay Angry Sea Mission

Although I must say that for me I'm under the impression that Crysis 3 is a bit more heavy game to run. But that could be my imagination I haven't really checked CPU Load and so on. These are the battlefield 4 requirements pc. I did experience some odd sound bug playing the first mission of Battlefield 4 and also later in the game however. It was like someone would start spraying a large machine gun nonstop, and it kept going until the team moved on to the next firefight. The sound is so loud it ruins all team talk and other events in the game when it happens.

One major thing I noticed was the ingame videos in Battlefield 4 have not nearly as high resolution as they are on Crysis 3. The game video you see after you complete your first assignment in Battlefield 4 looks like a 360p youtube video. But then later in the game the videos seem to be somewhat ok resolution  again. Not sure how that happened? Did they cut down on videos size just to make it all fit on the DVDs.. I don't really know.. The gameplay graphics however are much better so that's the one thing that really matters in the end.

Some people say that the graphics of Battlefield 4 looks more realistic than Crysis 3. And that might well be the case because on Crysis 3 they have certainly tried to take gameplay graphics to the next level, and in a way it makes things look unbelievable and almost to good to be true. It looks "flashy". While Battlefield 4 looks more down to earth. Which one looks better in your eyes is for you to decide and it simply comes down to ones taste.

Both Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4 playing campaign's on Ultra settings for me seems to give me the same temps on the CPU and GPU. Around 60c on average and a bit higher on the graphics card. But the card is the aircooled Nvidia GTX690 and the i7-3930K CPU is currently on a Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme running a moderate 19% overclock over stock. However overclocking is hardly nessesary, I don't notice any difference running stock speeds.

But it's clear that computer graphics are moving very fast to realism even in gameplay, the only thing I think that is going to hold back game developers in the future are consoles and forced energy saving hardware on consumer PC's. If they are forced to reduce quality of games to be able to run on slow outdated hardware in consoles or energy saving electronics that is the one thing that is going to hurt us that use the PC for gaming. For me the PC is the ultimate gaming station that enables game developers to push what is possible to the next level and bring us awesome computer generated realism, and I think and hope that it is going to stay that way for a long time.

BF4 The Crash Background Wallpaper 1500x844
The realism in the game is very high, and you can clearly see that in this BF4 HD background. It also show us the fact that concrete walls can be destroyed in the game. I know some of you who played the open beta Battlefield 4 had some problems with the graphics, and that you found the game to play better on Windows 8 instead of Window 7. It would mean that BF4 is more optimized for Win 8 users.

But I think that since I played on Windows 7 and didn't have any real problems (except the occasional crash) We can conclude that those graphics problems have now been solved by Dice and updated graphics card drivers.

In Battlefield 4 the MI-28 Havoc multipurpose attack helicopter is the main attack helicopter for Russian forces

Being very effective against both enemy vehicles and infantry, and even has air to air missiles against enemy aircraft. The Battlefield 4 MI-28 Havoc was first featured in the series in BF2, where it also was the main attack chopper for the Russian faction.

MI-28 Havoc Tips

The Battlefield 4 MI-28 Havoc is somewhat a slower attack helicopter, but makes up for it in firepower. It is very effective against infantry on the ground and that is what is making it a great helicopter for defending positions.

Like other helicopters, the Russian MI-28 is vulnerable against AA like the Stinger and LAV-AD.

Battlefield 4 MI-28 Havoc unlocks

The MI-28 Havoc have the same features and unlocks as the Viper and the AH-64 Apache. Which includes air to air missiles against enemy aircraft, guided and TV missiles against enemy vehicles. It also have an array of countermeasure unlocks such as flares and stealth, which makes it harder to lock on for enemy AA.

✪ [FPS TEST] BF4 System Requirements ✪

Battlefield 4 system requirements

The Minimum Battlefield 4 Requirements PC are:

  • Dual core CPU (Intel Core i5 or AMD “Bulldozer”).
  • At least 4 GB main system memory
  • Graphics card with at least 512 MB of VRAM and support for DirectX 10
  • 30+ GB of harddrive space
  • Windows Vista

Recommended system requirements PC

The recommended PC system requirements for optimal visual quality and frame rates:

  • Quad core CPU (Intel Core i5 or i7) at 3 Ghz
  • 4 GB memory (8 GB for 64-bit operating systems)
  • A modern DX11 graphics card with 2+ GB of video memory, GeForce 600 series or Radeon 7000 series
  • Windows 7 64-bit operating system (Windows 8 is supported as well)
  • 30+ GB of free harddrive space

Battlefield 4 is slightly more optimized for AMD hardware. This is because the game also runs on next gen consoles, which are powered by AMD CPUs and GPUs.

This means that gamers with AMD PC graphics cards might see a slight advantage. Both Nvidia and AMD offer Battlefield 4 optimized PC drivers.

The test's done below gives you FPS for the most common graphics cards. We can see that the Titan (two of them running in SLI) is on top with Ultra Settings on a big 2560x1440 Monitor. The multi GPU GTX 690 is behind here because of the limited Video Memory (2GB per GPU).

Things starts to even out when running Medium settings. When a 1920x1080 Monitor is used even running Ultra Settings most top graphics cards handle well around 60 FPS and as much as 100 FPS for some even though Video Memory is a bit on the low side.

This show us that yes, having a lot of Video Memory is going to help if you have big screens, but once you go down in size the Video Memory starts to become less a factor.

✪ New Nvidia GeForce 331.58 WHQL Driver - SLI HBAO+ Update BF4 ✪

Nvidia have now released the new GeForce 331.58 WHQL driver and it brings a lot of updates including updated SLI Profile for Battlefield 4, so this is a good thing for us gamers running dual graphics cards or GPU's.

I would however like to put out a warning for anyone who have not updated that at least for me, the past updated drivers I installed from Nvidia have caused numerous bluescreens for me. It was almost a daily occurrence for me, and I seriously thought that my ram or some hardware failure was happening to my computer.

However it turns out that switching back to some old drivers (for me GeForce Version 310.70 Release date: 12/17/2012) fixed the bluescreens and have not had any problems since then. I even played Battlefield 4 Open Beta without any issues with constant 100 FPS or thereabout on Ultra Settings.

So if anything out of the ordinary starts to act up on your computer and you recently updated Nvidia drivers, then try and go back to some older drivers. It might save you a lot of time.

NVIDIA Control Panel
NOT all games support forced AO. Gamers can change AO settings and experiment with the implementation of user-made profiles through the use of NVIDIA Inspector.

The features also include a major update to the Nvidia Control Panel Ambient Occlusion (AO) Override feature. With the introduction of HBAO+ that increse the precision, fidelity and rendering speed of high quality AO.

The new GeForce 331.58 WHQL driver is now available to download.

An essential update for all GeForce GTX users, 331.58 WHQL is the Game Ready driver for Batman: Arkham Origins and Battlefield 4, ensuring your system attains peak performance in the two eagerly-anticipated titles. In addition to upcoming releases, performance has been increased in DiRT Showdown (up to 11%), Metro: Last Light (up to 9%), Sleeping Dogs (up to 8%), and Sniper Elite V2 (up to 13%), too.

331.58 WHQL also includes features, profiles, and changes from recent beta releases, like the major update to our NVIDIA Control Panel (NVCPL) Ambient Occlusion (AO) override feature, first introduced in 331.40 beta. An easy-to-use tool for applying fidelity-enhancing, realistic shading and shadowing to games that do not natively support the feature, the quality of NVCPL AO has been drastically improved with the introduction of HBAO+.

Debuted in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, HBAO+ is a new, NVIDIA-developed Ambient Occlusion technique that utilizes the latest technologies to significantly increase the precision, fidelity, and rendering speed of high-quality AO. It will be seen next in Batman: Arkham Origins, this Friday, where it adds considerable detail to the world’s shading.

For further details on HBAO+, please visit our HBAO+ technology page, and for more info on Ambient Occlusion itself, please head here.

Rounding out 331.58 WHQL is a whole host of profile updates, adding new SLI profiles, updating existing SLI profiles, adding new Ambient Occlusion profiles, and updating other profile elements for optimum game experiences:
  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag – Updated Profile
  • Batman: Arkham Origins – Updated SLI Profile
  • Battlefield 3 – Updated Surround Profile
  • Battlefield 4 – Updated Surround Profile, Updated SLI Profile
  • Crisis 2015 – Added SLI Profile
  • Crysis 3 – Added HBAO+ Profile
  • Dirty Bomb (a.k.a. Extraction) – Added DX9 SLI Profile
  • Dragon Sword – Updated DX9 Profile
  • Dying Light – Added DX11 SLI Profile
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Updated SLI Profile
  • F1 2013 – Updated SLI Profile
  • FIFA 14 – Added SLI Profile, Added HBAO+ Profile, Added 3D Vision Profile (Rated "Good")
  • GRID 2 – Updated DX11 Profile
  • Natural Selection 2 – Added DX11 SLI Profile
  • Outlast – Added DX9 SLI Profile

✪ Japan BF4 Pre-Order Relese Date Changed ✪

If you are in Japan and had pre-ordered BF4 and Premium you are out of luck. You probably where exited and expecting to get to play Battlefield 4 on the official release date Oct 31, like the rest of us.

Dice have now reported that  the release date have been pushed to NOVEMBER 7th instead, and will not be OCT 31st as was promised when preordered.

However CoD: Ghost releases on NOV 5th in Japan, the same as in the rest of the world.

The funny thing about this is that at Yodabashi Camera which is the largest electronics shop in Tokyo (home of 30 million people) the store is so big it could very well be largest store in the world. The video set up running the trailer for BF4 was very clear saying the game was coming out October 30th.

This was only weeks ago. Now we find out that the BF4 release date have been moved to November 7th.

They don't seem to say why they are doing this or the reason behind the delay of the release date by a week for a specific region?

I know many are very upset about this, because if you had preordered a hard copy from an online store you would have still gotten the game a few days earlier than the digital copy from Origin. Now it turns out that the digital download will be later than if  you just purchased BF4 elsewhere.

He goes on an entire round and does not even get killed once. The end result is over 50 kill and ZERO deaths.

Please report here by commenting. Dice will now BAN YOU from battlelog forum if you speak of hackers! They are not dealing with this hacking situation and not acting like they should at all. The even more sad part about all this is that this cheater does not have the best battlefield 4 KD at all. For that you need to check out DireRaptor22 or IceFrog aka BlauManIs Owning. Funny how I warned people on the Battlelog forum a few days ago about AA having a working hack that was about to be released into the wild. I was suspended for 3 days !!! All because I said they had hacked the game already. DICE/EA don't give a shit guys. Long as the cash cow keeps giving money. Hacker gets banned. Buys another key or his subscription gives him one and it starts all over again. All hackers should burn in hell or hardware ID ban them for life. Whichever comes first !!

Unfortunately for my efforts I got a three day suspension for warning people they they were incoming. I was livid to say the least and it just goes to show that EA (as it was not DICE who suspended me) really are useless and will do anything to shut up a player who informs people that hacks are inbound. Hey we would not want to put of potentially new punters with the idea that their game is full of hackers now would we. I'll probably get a three month ban now for speaking my mind !

I think Dice/EA doesn't wan't to frighten new potentials players to buy their game because hackers are working on to / already hacking the game.
So they lock/delete the threads for this purpose.
I don't agree with that kind of behavior because instead of taking SERIOUS actions against proven hackers : they just try to blindfold everybody.
I sent tons of reports against hackers in bf3 (spotted by or cheatometer) with battlereports, videos sometimes.. i think most of them still play.

Actually i think they act but not enough effective...
They should have 200 ppl or more investigating hackers and reports... With the implemented Spectator mode in bf4 it should be easier... to spot them.
Or they just complain to punkbuster that their software can't detect hacks and until it can : they will not do anything...

✪ BF4 Open Beta AA Hackers ✪

Did you think Battlefield would stay hack free? Did you think PunkBuster or Dice would prevent hackers from entering the game? Did you have a few WTF moments when you got taken out by an enemy playing the Battlefield 4 servers?
Artificial Aiming Hacker at work Open Beta1
Open Beta BF4 AA Hacker Jumping
If so I can tell you I too had a few moments when playing the beta of Battlefield 4 where I was very suspicious about players. It turns out that almost instantly when Dice released the beta, Artificial Aiming hacks and cheats where already up and running on dozens of players computers.

You can clearly see that these AA hackers can see you coming a mile away, even through walls. They know where and who you are and how much health you have.

10-02-2013, 09:55 AM

Artificial Aiming was the first ones to present a fully working BF4 Engine Multihack.

They have been sharing the BF4 hack with our their MasterPackage subscribers during the open beta.

Hack features include:

Vehicle and Player Aimbot
3D and 2D Radar
Warning System

Artificial Aiming Hacker at work Open Beta 3
Open Beta BF4 AA Hacker Streets

But not only that, more feature are in development and will be added to the hack soon.

I was enjoying the open beta, I must say that even though some of the tanks and helicopters where in my opinion a bit weak against ground troops and soft targets the overall game was pretty nice. I even thought about pre ordering Battlefield 4. But what turns me off is that the hacking and cheating problem they have with this.

With Dice not doing enough to prevent hackers and cheaters from exploiting the game really is what for me decided that I wont pre order. I might get Battlefield 4 later but for now, I think it's best to hold off. (And since the release I only see server and game crashes that further puts me of from buying and overpriced game).. Sure if servers would run like they should then it would be an ok price.

Dice can try and make the game as even as possible with tweaking the weapons and vehicles but with them ignoring the hacks are like throwing all that work out the window.

When 1 or 2 hacks starts to dominate the game that really is unfair.

You would think that you can report hackers on battlelog forum and alert other players on there about the situation but their forum policy is not to do so. If you do talk about a cheater it's a "Thread closed, text removed. " that is waiting to happen.

Naming and Shaming
Naming and shaming those who you believe to be cheating is not permitted on the forum or Battlelog posts. It is not productive and does not expedite action taken against these players. Any references of this type will be removed. Instead, Report players directly for investigation.

Reporting potential cheaters
If you want to report a potential cheater, visit the user’s Battlelog profile, click the report "exclamation mark” symbol at the top-right of their page, and fill in the reason for reporting them. You can submit links to videos or Battle Reports with evidence supporting your suspicions of cheating. We investigate all reports and will take action if a player is found to be cheating.
