Hey everyone,
I was thinking I would bring up something I discovered about the Battlefield 1 game mechanics that I'm sure all of you know about from the earlier Battlefield games.
Back in Battlefield 3 it was introduced something that most people call scope glint, it's a gameplay mechanic added to high power scopes. In Battlefield a high power scope is defined as a scope with a zoom greater than 4x. So this mechanic is limited to the Recon Class aka Scout Class that this class now is called in Battlefield 1.
The scope glare or glint causes the sniper's scope to be visible from a considerable distance as a bright glare like THE SUN. In Battlefield 4 this also occurs during night time!
The glare is brightest when seen from the direct line of fire and is less noticeable at off angles. In Battlefield 4, scope glint is visible to someone within a 10 degrees viewing angle of the sniper.

It's hard to say how much more difficult the Scout Class is going to have in Battlefield 1.
On another note at this moment it seem like anyone not playing the objective.. Like Biplanes.. Scouts.. Tanks.. Commanders? Pretty much any class that can't physically be on the flag all the time and support the team are going to be left out from most of the points.. Just like in Battlefield 4. Maybe Biplanes and Zeppelins just should park on the flag and sit there.
Now the reason most of the maps in Battlefield 4 was such a failure to begin with was simply because Dice and EA thought it would be a good idea to have artists and concept designers make the maps for Battlefield 4 in an attempt to make the maps look "pretty".
This was of course a massive failure for gameplay and hurt the game experience. It was not until they started to realease the DLC maps that with the design help from the community and the developers that the gameplay was greatly improved.. And not only that the DLC maps also looks pretty..
So it's going to be interesting to see if Battlefield 1 only have pretty maps designed by incompetent people or pretty maps designed by the right people for the job.
