Exactly like how the massive 300 page long cheating thread on the Battlefield 1 forum was closed a year ago.
Now the almost 250 page long cheating thread with over 122.7K views and almost 5000 replies have been closed by Battlefield moderator StarscreamUK
And we can never ever recreate or talk about the issues on the battlefield BFV forum ever again..
There is no secret that BFV had very rough sales figures, even worse than Battlefield Hardline and that the developers even though they were overly optimistic in their not so finished product, EA stocks plummeted and workers didn't get that extra salary bonus they had hoped for in the end. However, yes it's clear the BFV game have it's bugs and glitches, lack of content etc..
But what I think really have been hurting the community and gaming experience for years on the PC platform have long been the utter lack of any anti-cheating software and the long, long silence from DICE about the situation. Or at least an anti-cheat that actually remove cheaters from the online gaming experience. The direction of DICE seem to not be to deal with the cheating but instead release more "competitive" game modes. But DICE that won't work if there are cheaters playing.
Yes we know the Frostbite engine is a very bad gaming engine in making anything other than pretty looking games.
And we can't expect game developers to also be good programmers that can fix bugs and back doors in the very game engine that they are trying to also make AAA games in.
However even with fairfight a stand alone statistics analysis software running there have been very few "ban waves". You would think the fairfight software would pick up on the not so normal gameplay statistics that happens when players again and again go 100-0 in a round of conquest.
But even if we look at the top of the leaderboards in all the recent battlefield installments there have been pages and pages of obvious cheaters at the very top, yeah big deal top 5.. No I'm talking about Top 1000 on a leaderboard.
So when people see this, it does not sit well with them when they know that even if they strive to become a "pro" player with DICE trying to push a competitive game mode good players know that they are never ever going to even get close to the top of that leaderboard.
Respawn the creators of the free to play Apex Legends banned 770.000 accounts for cheating, so there is definitely factual proof that there are massive amounts of players that are cheating and violating TOS of the games they play.

But don't worry in only a few months Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is going to get released and it's a cross platform game and the new game engine that Infinity Ward have now looks really, really good.
And also Cyberpunk 2077 looks super awesome. Cyberpunk 2077 is made on the new game engine REDengine 4, that is the next iteration of REDengine 3.
